Hooray for Joel!

Yeah! My little brother got his mission call to serve in Cebu, Phillipines and leaves in March! We are so proud of him!

Tallan's Blessing

We blessed Tallan yesterday at Tim's parent's ward in Spanish Fork. We had a very large crowd there with lots of family and friends who came from all over Utah. Tallan did very well and didn't even cry or spit up on anyone...until after we got home from church anyway. He did look very handsome if I do say so myself!

Halloween 2006

This Halloween Brooklyn was a monkey and Tallan used the pumpkin costume that his cousins Ethan and Drew wore when they were his age. We went trick-or-treating at the hospital with Grandpa and Grandma the night before Halloween and went with cousin Amber in Draper on Halloween night. Brooklyn ran from house to house and was very good to say "trick-or-treat!" and "thank you" after they put candy in her bag, but after about 5 houses, she said she was done and I had to carry her back to the car! I kept trying to persuade her to keep going to a few more homes because I knew what she had gotten already wouldn't last me very long, but I couldn't even bribe her! Maybe next year my candy supply will be a little more filled!

Cutest Kids Ever!

reality check

I took an old friend to the airport today who I met my first year at Utah State. She brought up the point how crazy my life is! Here we are 6 1/2 years after we left the dorms when our freshmen year was over, and I have been married for 5 years and have 2 kids! I am totally a mom now and I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful family. I can't even express the love I feel for them and am so excited for the years to come!

Fall

This is probably my favorite time of year in Utah! It is so beautiful here when the leaves change colors and the mountains look amazing. This picture is from one of our canyon drives we took over conference weekend. We live in such a beautiful place!

Brooklyn turns 3!

Brooklyn had a Strawberry Shortcake birthday just like I did when I turned 3! We just celebrated with some family, but it was very nice and Brooklyn loved it. She especially liked her pink cupcakes with pink frosting and her Strawberry Shortcake balloon that her Grandpa gave her.

We decided this was the first year Brooklyn would be able to appreciate the pumpkin carving part of Halloween. For family night we went to the pumpkin patch (in our friend's backyard) and picked one pumpkin for each person in our family. We went home and got to work. Brooklyn and Tim carved the pumpkins and Tallan took a nap while I picked out all the seeds to roast. They are so yummy! We had a great family night!

Tallan is born!

Tallan Jeffrey Flinders was born on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 12:00 pm. He weighed 9 lbs and was 21 inches long. Everyone is doing great!

Brooklyn is a big sister!

Brooklyn is so excited to be a big sister and is already a great helper! She loves her baby brother, Tallan, so much!

Parker's 3rd Birthday Party

Yeah! The Whitford's came back from Washington for a visit just in time for Parker's birthday party! Parker is Brooklyn's very best friend and we've already arranged for the two of them to get married someday. The details are still being worked out. Parker is exactly 4 weeks older than Brooklyn and now Melissa and I are 4 weeks apart in our 2nd pregnancies with Melissa having a girl this time and I'm having a boy. Sounds like we might have another marriage to arrange!

We miss them very much but glad they were able to come for a visit. Can't wait to see them again soon!

Brooklyn's First Day of Ballet

Brooklyn is now a little ballerina! She started her first ballet class this week and just loved it. She had a hard time staying in line when they were skipping across the floor and when another girl decided to run off and do her own thing, Brooklyn was the first to follow. I'm sure she'll catch on though.

About Us

Tim and I met at Utah State and were married a year later in September of 2001. We have an adorable little girl named, Brooklyn, and are expecting baby #2, a boy, any day now. We have moved back and forth from southern California and Utah, but are currently in Orem, Utah and will stay close by from now on. Tim is a commercial real estate agent and I am a busy mom and run a vinyl lettering business. Life is good.
